EPD Onboarding is conducted through One Click LCA Academy, our online learning platform. You'll be guided from zero to submission on your first Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), supported throughout by a dedicated mentor from our LCA and EPD Support & Onboarding team.
The program combines self-guided steps you complete at your own pace with 3 live workshops (45–60 minutes each) alongside your mentor. Here's what the journey typically looks like:
Week 1 — Get Ready & Workshop 1: Complete Academy Chapters 0–2 to prepare. Set up your account and collect your manufacturing data. Import A1-A3 data into the software with your mentor.
Week 2 — Fill the Gaps: Work through any remaining data gaps. Complete Academy Chapter 3. At the end of the week, you and your mentor check in on your progress — if your data isn't quite ready yet, an extra week is simply added here.
Week 3/4 — Workshop 2: Model your EPD's scenarios (A4-D) & complete the documentation together with your mentor.
Week 4/5 — Workshop 3 & Submit: Complete Academy Chapter 4, then do a final review with your mentor, and submit your EPD.
Most customers complete the full journey in about 5 weeks, though the exact pace depends on how quickly your data comes together.
We recommend setting aside one day a week for your EPD tasks to keep things moving smoothly. Your mentor stays closely involved between workshops as well, so you're never navigating this alone.
Once submitted, you're fully equipped to handle verifier questions and start planning your next EPD.
