  • NEW! A new version of the Swedish Klimatdeklaration tool is now available. This tool prioritizes GWP-GHG and GWP-IOBC values of EPDs where this value is declared. For EPDs where neither of these GWP values is declared, the tool uses GWP-fossil and GWP-LULUC values as required in the scheme.

  • NEW! Infrastructure carbon assessment tool according to Envision v3.97 is now available. This calculation tool supports the carbon assessment credits CR1.1 and CR1.2 as well as reporting of reused content, site wastage and on-site earthworks for credits RA1.2, 1.4 and 1.5.

Early Design & Ecodesign

  • The Denmark region and related data are now available in Carbon Designer 3D. This new region reflects local conditions and current construction practices. The region is aligned with BR18, following relevant specifications and energy performance requirements.

  • The Japan region in Carbon Designer 3D has been updated with 3 new building types and 5 new structural frames relevant to mid-rise, high-rise and super-high-rise buildings. The Japan region in Carbon Designer 3D was developed in cooperation with Sumitomo and reflects local seismic conditions and current construction practices.

Product LCA & EPD Software

  • When submitting EPD from compatible tools to EPD Hub, you can now choose which reports to include in the submission file including the custom reports from the Organisation. This feature also supports uploading EPD files in other languages directly to EPD Hub.

  • Data card with dataset details available directly from data lists. If you have access to Ecoinvent data lists through your organisation, you can now see data cards with dataset details directly when managing data lists.

  • The transportation calculation for EPD tools has been improved by using the value you enter in the mass/unit additional question as the basis for the calculation. Previously the calculation was based on the inherent properties of the material which were not always reliable.

  • We have created 4 new product EPD templates:

    • Metal-based products (CEN/TC 135): Automotive part - Aluminium stiffener sill

    • Metal-based products (CEN/TC 135): Lightweight modular connector

    • Plastic insulation or elements (EN 16783, IES c-PCR 005): Firestop block

    • Plastic insulation or elements (EN 16783, IES c-PCR 005): VIP insulation
