One Click LCA supports the Mostadam Rating System, Saudi Arabia’s national sustainability framework developed under Vision 2030. The system sets requirements for sustainable design and construction of residential projects and is aligned with the Saudi Green Building Code (SgBC).
Our tools enable project teams to meet Mostadam’s requirements by supporting the calculation and reporting of embodied carbon, materials performance, and resource efficiency in line with the credit categories and keystone credits defined in the manual.
Life-Cycle & Results Scope
Coverage of embodied carbon impacts across A1–A5 (product and construction) and optional B and C stages for selected credits.
Support for energy, water, materials, and waste categories, enabling full integration with Mostadam’s D+C methodology.
Results reported per m² of Gross Floor Area (GFA) and as total emissions, consistent with sustainability reporting requirements.
Certification & Compliance Scope
One Click LCA aligns with Mostadam’s Design & Construction (D+C) methodology, with a focus on the following:
Materials & Waste credits
Use of recycled materials
Low-pollution insulation
Construction waste management
Life-cycle impact reduction through material selection
Embodied carbon and EPD use
Assigning verified EPDs to construction products
Substituting or benchmarking generic data with EPD-backed datasets
Comparing design options to reduce carbon impacts
Energy and Water
Recording operational energy use scenarios
Recording indoor and outdoor water consumption
These capabilities allow project teams to generate evidence-ready results for submission in line with Mostadam credit documentation requirements.
Environmental Indicators to Report
When pursuing LCA credits under Mostadam, the following impact indicators must be calculated and reported:
Global Warming Potential (GWP) – kg CO₂e
Mandatory for all materials and operational energy/water.
Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) – kg CFC-11e
Applies especially to insulation and refrigerants.
Acidification Potential (AP) – kg SO₂e
Eutrophication Potential (EP) – kg PO₄³⁻e
Photochemical Ozone Creation Potential (POCP / Smog formation) – kg C₂H₄e
Of these, GWP and ODP are always required. AP, EP, and POCP may also be needed if covered by chosen EPDs or datasets.
Data Scope in the Tools
One Click LCA integrates:
EPDs (EN 15804/ISO-based) for construction products.
Generic material databases where no EPD is available.
Local energy and water benchmarks for Saudi Arabia, where available.
User-imported data via BIM, Excel, or manual entry.
Guidance
Create a project
Select a Mostadam-compliant carbon assessment tool in One Click LCA. (For example, Level(s) LCA.
Set building area
Define Gross Floor Area (GFA) for normalization of results.
Add materials
Input manually, via Excel, or import from BIM.
Assign EPDs or generic datasets.
Include transport distances, wastage, and service life.
Add energy and water data
Input annual operational energy consumption (electricity, cooling, heating).
Add indoor and outdoor water consumption figures.
Run calculations
Results include GWP, ODP, AP, EP, and POCP where available.
Outputs are aligned with Mostadam credit requirements.
Viewing and Downloading Results
Stage-by-stage embodied carbon breakdowns (A1–A5, optional C).
Material-by-material emissions and EPD allocation.
Energy and water consumption summaries.
Exportable reports for submission to Mostadam assessors.
Special Features
EPD-ready workflow: Assign verified product data directly to materials.
Evidence support: Reports structured to meet Mostadam documentation needs.
Integration with Vision 2030: Enables material and carbon optimization in line with national goals.
Use Cases
The Mostadam module in One Click LCA can be used for:
Demonstrating compliance with materials and embodied carbon credits.
Documenting EPD use and low-impact product choices.
Recording and reporting energy and water consumption.
Submitting LCA indicators (GWP, ODP, AP, EP, POCP) for certification.
Comparing design options to reduce carbon and other environmental impacts.
