Editing Your Design in Sustainable Planner

Once the generative AI has produced your design options, or you have drawn your own, you can refine the design, check compliance, and review instant insights.

Check zoning compliance as you model

The zoning tab gives you a full compliance breakdown at any point. While you model, buildings turn red if they breach a zoning rule, so you can see and resolve conflicts immediately.

Populate and refine your model

Populate your model with trees, façade materials, and soil types. Use the layers tab to control the visibility of each layer.

Tip: You can drag and drop an image or a sketch to use as a base in your drawing.

Review design information

The design info tab shows all relevant information at three levels: an individual building, the site, and the total.

For apartment and row house typologies, unit count is calculated at a fixed 75 m² per unit.

Instant insights

In the simulations tab, instant insights are available directly while you model, including:

- Façade sun exposure

- Overcast shadow cast on neighbouring buildings

Instant insights are fast, lower-accuracy indicators intended for quick feedback during modelling. For higher-accuracy results, run a full simulation. See Running simulations and comparing designs.

Finalize your design

When you are happy with your design, finalize it using the button in the upper-right corner. You can then duplicate it, create alternatives, and run simulations to compare directions.
