As a License Manager, you have the power to:
One Click LCA has distinct roles for managing licenses and accessing software features: the License Manager and the License User. The License Manager is responsible for overseeing license-related functions, while the License User has access to software features without managing administrative tasks. Understanding these roles helps streamline license management processes.
Licenses are linked to user accounts created with work email addresses. Make sure to set up your account using the correct email to access all licensed features properly.
Add and remove users: Control who has access to your license.
Grant project access: Give users access to all current and future projects with varying permissions (read-only, modifier, or manager).
Release seats: Free up concurrent license seats when needed.
Here's how to manage your license
Setting Up Your Account
Before managing your license, ensure your account is properly set up and linked. Follow these initial steps:
Create an Account: Visit oneclicklca.com to create an account using your work email address ensuring license linkage.
Notify Support if Necessary: In cases where your account isn’t automatically linked, reach out to One Click LCA support to link it manually.
1. Access License Management:
Log in to your One Click LCA account and navigate to the "Licences" section on the dashboard. This displays all licenses where you're designated as a License Manager.
Step 1: Go to the "Licences" section in the dashboard and select the specific license you want to manage.
Double-check that you are logged in using the correct email address linked to your license.
2. Select Your License:
Click on the name of the license you want to manage.
3. Manage Users:
License Manager: This section lists the current License Manager(s). To change or add a License Manager, contact One Click LCA support.
Users with Rights to All License Entities: Add users here to give them access to all current and future projects. These users must already have a One Click LCA account. You can assign them read-only, modifier, or manager rights.
Revoking Access: Removing a user from this list will remove access to any project where they are not the sole Manager - even if they originally created the project or had prior Manager access before using this feature.
Sole Manager: If a user is the only Manager on a project, revoking their "All License Entities" access will not remove them from that specific project.- Important Note: Removing yourself as a License User will not affect your role as a License Manager. However, it will restrict your access to tools and functionalities reserved for users.
Multiple Managers: If a project has more than one Manager, revoking a user's "All License Entities" access will remove them from the project.
License Users: Add users here to give them access to the license. They don't need an existing account; the system will automatically invite them to create one. Click "Delete" to remove a user from the license.
Step 3: Add the users to your license
4. Release Concurrent Seats:
If you have a concurrent license, you can release seats in use.
Find the "Currently floating users" list. These are the users who currently have a seat checked out.
Click "Release" next to a user's name to free up their seat.
Important: Forcing a seat release may cause users to lose unsaved work. Use this function cautiously.
