One Click LCA License Types: A Simplified Guide

Updated over a week ago

Understanding One Click LCA License Types

One Click LCA offers three license types:

Concurrent-user licenses

Ideal for teams. Multiple people can use the software, but the number of simultaneous users is limited by the number of "seats" you purchase. Think of it like chairs in a room – only those with a seat can use the software at any given time.

Additionally, users must indicate their usage explicitly by activating a seat. Without explicit activation, users may encounter restrictions such as limited access to software features or a read-only mode.

Named-user licenses

Designed for individuals or small teams where each person needs dedicated access. Each named user has a personal login and can use the software anytime.

Project-based licenses

Less common, these are typically used for large projects or educational purposes, allowing multiple users to collaborate on a specific project.

Multi-user Licenses

Multi-user licenses are designed for collaborative environments where multiple users work simultaneously on projects stored in a shared server-hosted database. This setup enables seamless collaboration, real-time updates, and eliminates direct limitations on data-sharing within the group.

How to Use Concurrent Licenses

  1. Log in: Use your registered email and password.

  2. Check out a license seat: Once you check out a seat, you can use the software.

  3. Release the seat when finished: When you're done, release the seat so someone else can use it. Remember to save your work first! Ensure you explicitly activate your seat to gain full access to the software's features.

Check out the license to start using it.

Once checked out, you can start using the license.

Find your license under 'subscriptions' to release your seat once you are done with your work.

Important Notes about Concurrent Licenses:

  • Limited Seats: The number of people who can use the software simultaneously is limited by the number of seats in your contract. The default option is 1 seat, which allows 3 registered users.

  • License Manager: Your organization may have a license manager who can add users and manage the license.

  • Full Capacity: If all seats are taken, you'll need to wait for someone to release a seat before you can use the software. You can see who is currently using the software and ask them to release their seat if needed. Note: If you force to release the license and a user has not saved their project, this may lead to the user losing project data. Use this function with care. - Activity Monitoring: It is important to monitor seat usage actively and release seats when inactive. Efficient seat management ensures that everyone gets equal opportunities to access the software.

When your license is full, you will see the list of active users which allows you to contact your colleagues requesting them to release a seat. License managers can release seats too.
