One Click LCA now offers a streamlined process for creating Project EPDs using our Internal Verification feature. This allows for the quick and efficient generation of EPDs for various internal and external purposes.
What is a Project EPD?
A Project EPD is a non-published variation of an existing, published EPD (parent EPD).
It is internally verified by the issuer, ensuring quality and consistency.
It carries the parent and project EPD numbers, and an "Internally verified (ISO 14025)" statement.
While not reviewed or published on EPD Hub, it can be made public or private within One Click LCA's database and Materials Compass.
Further rules on the creation and verification of project EPDs are provided in Annex II of EPD Hub's GPI here.
Benefits of Project EPDs:
Project EPDs are generally used where scaling EPD production is required. They are not intended for regulatory compliance but do satisfy the needs of many stakeholders.
Scalable EPD production for various needs.
Useful for sales, tenders, marketing, and internal reporting.
Efficient alternative to full EPD publication.
