Verification Process for One Click LCA End-to-End EPD Generators

Updated over 2 months ago

EPD verification

One Click LCA's End-to-End EPD Generators are fully verified with EPD Hub. EPDs generated with this tool need to be submitted through EPD Hub's portal and will be handled as follows:

  • First batch of EPDs generated are manually verified by an EPD Hub approved verifier

  • All subsequent EPDs generated are directly published and automatically verified (unless recalled)

  • Post-publishing verifications are performed on published EPDs

Data verification

For a tool to be End-to-End verified, all available data must be verified in advance. This includes:

  • Manufacturing site data

  • Private data

  • Private constructions

  • Additional ecoinvent datasets

A certified EPD Hub verifier must review and approve this data before it becomes available for selection in the tool.

Data verification process

Requesting Data Verification

  1. Users should contact One Click LCA [email protected] to request data verification.

  2. Include a link to the data list in your One Click LCA company account.

  3. For guidance on creating a data list, refer to Selecting Ecoinvent Datasets for Your Account.

Verification Steps

  1. Initial Review: A One Click LCA representative reviews the requested data. Additional details may be required, such as:

    • Justification of the dataset’s validity

    • Source of data for Private Data

    • Specific use cases for the dataset

  2. Pre-validation: Once approved, the One Click LCA representative pre-validates the data.

  3. Verified Status: When the status changes to Verified, the data becomes available for selection in End-to-End verified projects.

EPD Hub will verify the data as part of the EPD verification process, and the EPD verifier has the right to reject pre-validated data if they are not satisfied that it meets Data Quality requirements.

Note that verified data is no longer editable. Prior to verification, the data can be edited but it is not available for selection in the tool until it is approved.
