What's new in One Click LCA in November 2025

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Update Highlights

  • Simpler and faster data grouping in the new data input interface

  • Early design flexibility through free-form modelling in Carbon Designer 3D

  • Faster and more scalable reporting with new XLSX and Word templates

  • Create tailored, client-ready carbon summaries with new one-page reports

  • Model more accurately using 6199 new datasets and generics across construction and infrastructure

Platform & software updates

The data input page now includes a dropdown menu for grouping resources by column. This replaces the drag-and-drop method, making it easier to configure data and review results.

Building & Infrastructure LCA updates

Free drawing for early design flexibility

A new Free Drawing feature allows users to draw and edit building shapes directly in the web interface. Building perimeters and individual floors can be adjusted visually, improving design freedom during early-stage modelling.

Carbon Designer Free Drawing will be introduced approximately 2 weeks after the November release and is included with the One Click LCA Power Pack for AEC.

Faster reporting with an updated XLSX format

A redesigned detailed report delivers clearer sub totals, faster generation speed, and support for larger projects with more than 500 inputs.

Product LCA & EPD updates

Simpler data imports for limited Ecoinvent users

A new import process is now standard for users with limited Ecoinvent access. It supports mapping outside data lists, importing up to 5500 rows, and adding datasets during import. AI mapping remains optional to maintain control over data accuracy.

Automatic calculation of exported energy indicators

The International EPD System (IES) EPD Generator tool now automatically calculates exported energy electricity and exported energy thermal. The update removes manual steps and improves data consistency in EPDs.

Improved performance for Luminaire calculations in the new interface

The Luminaires tool is now fully available in the new user interface, providing improved performance and easier navigation.

Create tailored, client-ready carbon summaries with new one-page reports

A carbon footprint one pager is now available in EPD Hub version 3 and EPD Hub North America. Reports can be customized through the report builder for client or project specific outputs.

Plugin updates

A new integration with Autodesk Inventor enables direct export of bills of materials to One Click LCA. This reduces manual work and speeds up LCA and EPD creation for engineering teams.

Local updates

LCA for DGNB DE 2018 now supports exporting results to a prefilled XLSX reporting template. The report includes impacts per resource and building level summaries by LCA stage and KG DIN 276 classification, reducing manual reporting work and ensuring consistency with DGNB 2023 tools.

One Click LCA Planetary are now fully available in the new user interface, providing improved performance and easier navigation.

Database expansion

WEEE datasets for electronics end of life modelling

The WEEE LCI database adds 461 datasets for electronics end of life processes is now fully available, improving coverage for electronic product assessments.

The database now includes 5929 new verified industry EPD. These additions enhance regional accuracy and material representation for both construction and manufacturing.

An additional 270 generic datasets have been added for infrastructure materials, supporting early-stage modeling and sensitivity assessments where verified EPDs are not yet available.
