What's new in One Click LCA in February 2025

Updated yesterday

Update highlights:

  • Streamline your BIM workflow with automatic mapping saves and flexible data imports for energy, water, and construction sites.

  • Reduce EPD verification time by targeting specific environmental standards early in the design phase.

  • Enhance localization with resource names now displayed in your preferred language.

  • Access expanded data including 4,343 new industry datasets (including ICE v4.0) and 65 new concrete carbonation scenarios.

Building & Infrastructure LCA updates

The data import process has been enhanced to provide greater flexibility and efficiency:

  • Flexible LCA Data Import: Users can now import data directly into energy, construction site, and water input pages, in addition to material inputs. Full support is also included for all data inputs within the RICS v2.0 tool.

  • Automated Mapping Saves: BIM model mappings are now saved automatically during import. This speeds up future projects by instantly applying saved mappings to materials with matching names and classes.

  • Localized Resource Names: To improve clarity for international teams, resource names are now displayed in the user's preferred language.

Product LCA & EPD updates

Targeted environmental standards for EPDs

A new feature allows users to specify the targeted environmental standard when creating a product design. This ensures that only the relevant impact categories are calculated, reducing the risk of incomplete EPDs and minimizing "verifier bounces," ultimately shortening the time to publication.

To ensure compliance and accuracy, templates have been updated for the following categories:

  • Cement, Cement Plaster, and Mortar

  • Ceramic Brick and Ceramic Tile

  • Electric Industrial Doors and Escalators

  • HVAC Fire Dampers

Plugin updates

The One Click LCA plugin has been updated to fully support Autodesk Civil 3D 2025. Users can download the latest version directly from the Autodesk App Store to ensure seamless integration with their infrastructure workflows.

Local updates

Calculation tools remain unchanged in this release. Several updates are planned for the upcoming release cycle.

Database expansion

The database now includes 4,343 new verified industry datasets, including the comprehensive ICE version 4.0 database. These additions significantly enhance the range of available data for accurate carbon assessments.

  • Generics: An additional 11 generic datasets have been added to support early-stage modeling.

  • Carbonation: 65 new concrete carbonation scenarios have been introduced, improving the accuracy of concrete lifecycle assessments.
