Building & infrastructure LCA updates

Achieve LEED v5 compliance with confidence

A new LEED v5 tool for North America supports both building-level impact reduction credits and material-based embodied carbon comparisons aligned with Carbon Leadership Forum baselines.

Ensure consistency with RICS v2 for infrastructure

A dedicated RICS v2 Infrastructure tool is now available. It covers Modules A–D, aligns inputs with civil infrastructure scopes, and generates audit-ready reports that meet RICS v2 requirements — supporting transparent, comparable results across infrastructure projects.

Over 140 new benchmarks have been added to Carbon Heroes, expanding coverage across North America, Western Europe, the Nordics, and key Asia‑Pacific regions (Japan, China, Australia). Updates also improve benchmarking in Eastern Europe and other European markets.

Ask the AI now includes ready‑made example prompts that demonstrate recommended query structures. Insert, adjust, and use them to explore new features more easily and accelerate everyday work.

The data input interface has been refined for a cleaner, more intuitive experience.

  • Simpler grouping: select grouping columns from a dropdown menu for easier configuration.

  • Clearer visibility: red highlights show missing quantities, green for new resources, and simplified notifications reduce visual noise.

  • Edit assemblies directly: modify assembly constituents without ungrouping, saving time and reducing rework.

Edit constructions directly in the new interface

For projects marked classified, only specifically added users can access them. Workspace‑wide access is no longer automatic. Adjusting classification settings will not remove existing authorized users.

Product LCA & EPD updates

Control data accuracy with Ecoinvent version filters

You can now filter results by Ecoinvent version under the Databases filter, available in both old and new interfaces. This ensures consistent dataset selection and version control across all analyses.

Publish EPDs faster with automated scenario documentation

Scenario documentation in EPD Hub v3 and related tools is now automated, removing around 40 manual questions and significantly reducing verification and publication time.

Simplify compliance with new INIES‑compliant FDES reports

The INIES & PEP tool now supports updated FDES and background reports aligned with INIES requirements, minimizing manual editing and improving verification speed.

Generate concrete EPDs with NRMCA compatibility

EPDs can now be used in the Concrete EPD Generator (NRMCA). TRACI EPDs must be included in a verified datalist to appear in the tool.

Plugin updates

  • Export pressure networks in a dedicated section.

  • Collect richer data for blocks and pipe networks, with improved handling of units, types, and element shapes.

  • Locate exports easily — the file save path now displays after export.

  • Reminder: Civil 3D 2026 support remains available since the summer update.

Database expansion

  • 11,508 new industry datasets (EPDs)

  • 862 new industry generics, including 647 KBOB datasets

This expansion enhances coverage of regional materials and processes, supporting more representative, accurate modeling across industries.

320 new generics are available for infrastructure materials, supporting early‑stage design and sensitivity analyses when EPDs are unavailable.
