What's new in One Click LCA in October 2025

Updated over 2 months ago

Update Highlights

  • Deliver compliant assessments faster with new LEED v5 and RICS v2 tools.

  • Benchmark embodied carbon performance with 140 new Carbon Heroes datasets for North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

  • Accelerate data entry with guided AI prompts and a redesigned data-input interface.

  • Ensure consistent results with Ecoinvent version filters and automated scenario documentation for EPDs.

  • Model more accurately using 12,370 new datasets and generics across construction and infrastructure.

Building & infrastructure LCA updates

Faster LEED v5 compliance for building projects

A new LEED v5 tool supports both building-level impact reduction credits and material-based embodied carbon comparisons aligned with Carbon Leadership Forum baselines, enabling alignment with the latest LEED framework.

Consistent infrastructure assessments with RICS v2

A dedicated RICS v2 Infrastructure module covers Modules A–D, aligns data inputs with civil-infrastructure scopes, and generates audit-ready reports for consistent and transparent project outcomes.

Over 140 new benchmarks have been added to Carbon Heroes, extending coverage across North America, Western Europe, the Nordics, and key Asia-Pacific regions, including Japan, China, and Australia. The update also strengthens coverage for Eastern Europe.

The Ask the AI feature now includes preconfigured example prompts that demonstrate effective query structures, helping users discover capabilities more efficiently and maintain consistency across analyses.

The interface now offers clearer organization, simplified grouping, and real-time feedback on missing or new data. Assemblies can be edited directly without ungrouping, reducing rework and improving modeling speed.

Edit constructions directly in the new interface

For classified projects, access is now limited to explicitly authorized users. Workspace-wide access is disabled by default, ensuring higher data confidentiality and alignment with organizational governance standards.

Product LCA & EPD updates

Improved version control with Ecoinvent filters

A new filter under the Databases tab allows results to be sorted by Ecoinvent version, providing greater control and consistency in dataset management.

Faster EPD publication with automated scenario documentation

In EPD Hub v3, scenario documentation is now generated automatically, eliminating approximately 40 manual input fields and significantly reducing verification and publication time.

Simplified French market compliance with INIES-aligned reports

The INIES & PEP tool now supports FDES and background reports that comply with updated INIES requirements, streamlining submission and review for French market EPDs.

Easier NRMCA submissions for concrete EPDs

Concrete EPDs can now be generated for the NRMCA Concrete EPD Generator when TRACI-based datasets are verified, improving integration for North American concrete producers.

Plugin updates

The Autodesk Civil 3D plugin has been updated with dedicated export options for pressure networks, richer data collection for blocks and pipe networks, and improved handling of units and element shapes. The export location now displays automatically after completion. Support for Civil 3D 2026 continues from the summer update.

Database expansion

The database now includes 12,370 new datasets, featuring 11,508 verified industry EPDs and 862 generics, including 647 KBOB datasets for Switzerland. These additions enhance regional accuracy and material representation for both construction and manufacturing.

An additional 320 generic datasets have been added for infrastructure materials, supporting early-stage modeling and sensitivity assessments where verified EPDs are not yet available.
