What's new in One Click LCA in February 2026

Updated today

Update Highlights

  • Integrated cost and carbon analysis with full Life Cycle Costing (LCC) release, enabling side-by-side financial and environmental decision-making.

  • Ecoinvent 3.12 integration, providing access to the latest global environmental datasets.

  • Improved workflow continuity, with page retention and refresh stability for complex modeling.

  • Expanded certification coverage, including FutureBuilt v3.1, DGNB 2023 (EN 15804+A2), NMD and PAS 2080:2023.

  • 5200+ new datasets added, enhancing regional accuracy and early-stage modeling capabilities.

Platform & Software Updates

Never lose your place during complex modeling

Improved page retention ensures dropdown navigation directs users to the correct input pages. Browser refreshes now preserve your active page, preventing disruption during detailed data entry.

Instantly identify high-impact materials

Percentage contribution is now displayed alongside absolute values in the data input interface, making emission hotspots immediately visible.

Edit resources faster with persistent action controls

Core actions such as duplicate and replace are now accessible via a pinned menu within the resource table, reducing click depth and speeding up iterative modeling.

Handle large BIM models with improved 3D performance

The upgraded IFC Viewer supports files up to 2GB with faster rendering and improved stability, enabling smoother work on complex infrastructure and large projects.

Generate reports in your preferred language

Detailed Reports now follow your profile language settings instead of browser defaults, ensuring consistent and professional output across international teams.

Building & Infrastructure LCA Updates

Align financial and carbon performance with integrated Life Cycle Costing

The newly released LCC tool enables simultaneous cost and carbon assessment within one workflow, supporting more informed investment and design decisions.

A phased roll-out is currently underway, with this new tool eventually replacing our existing LCC tools. Look out for more detailed information and next steps in the coming weeks.

Strengthen portfolio oversight with expanded analytics

Portfolio Analytics now includes Plausibility Checker grades and infrastructure projects, enabling faster data-quality assessment across entire portfolios.

Improve input validation with expanded Plausibility Checker support

The Plausibility Checker now supports imperial tools. Calculations continue to use metric units internally to maintain global benchmarking consistency.

Ensure compliant reporting of exported energy in infrastructure projects

Exported energy can now be included in all infrastructure tools. Results are reported in Module D2 and excluded from project totals to align with standardized reporting scopes.

Product LCA & EPD Updates

Calculation Changes

Increase end-of-life accuracy for reused materials

In the End-to-End tools for Electronics and Luminaires, reused material percentages are now deducted from benefits reported in Module D, ensuring more precise end-of-life impact calculations.

Expanded end-of-life modeling options for wood and paper

Additional end-of-life scenarios are now available for wood and paper materials in End-to-End tools, improving flexibility for bio-based product assessments.

UI / UX Improvements

See only relevant reporting options in Custom Reports

The Custom Report feature now displays only the default report for active tools, reducing clutter and improving report selection clarity.

Improve transparency in transport data selection

The selected Ecoinvent version or EPD program is now visible directly within the transport dropdown menu.

Find datasets during import faster with a new LCI database filter

A new “LCI database” filter has been added to the import search function, enabling more precise dataset discovery.

Expand cPCR coverage with UL and NSF programs

New cPCR options, including UL and NSF PCR programs, broaden compliance pathways for North American markets.

Streamlined End-to-End tools by removing French EPD reporting

The French EPD report and related questionnaire have been removed from E2E tools to simplify configuration and reduce unnecessary complexity.

Benefit from ongoing usability enhancements

Additional smaller interface improvements enhance overall usability across manufacturing tools.

Local Updates

Netherlands (NMD 3.9.1): Simplify Set A1 & A2 calculations

The NMD 3.9.1 tool for Set A1 & A2 calculations is now fully supported in the new data input interface, streamlining Dutch compliance workflows.

Norway (FutureBuilt v3.1): Meet updated climate-neutral development criteria

A new calculation tool supports FutureBuilt v3.1 assessments, aligning projects with the latest Norwegian climate requirements.

Germany (DGNB 2023): Accelerate certification scoring under EN 15804+A2

The LCA for DGNB DE 2023 tool now supports point calculations similar to the +A1 version, simplifying certification workflows.

Global (PAS 2080:2023): Align infrastructure carbon management practices

The Infrastructure Carbon tool aligned with PAS 2080:2023 is now available in the new data input interface, supporting best-practice carbon governance.

Database Expansion

Model with the latest global data using Ecoinvent 3.12

Ecoinvent 3.12 is now available across supported EPD tools, ensuring assessments reflect updated global supply chain datas.

The database now includes 861 industry generic datasets (including SYKE and NABERS) and 1,740 new generic datasets targeting average emissions. These additions improve regional accuracy and strengthen early-stage modeling where verified EPDs are limited.

We have added 1740 generic datasets specifically targeting average emissions for products. This fills a critical gap for early-stage modeling where verified EPDs are rare.
