General software updates
Users can now import a custom bill of materials in Excel format directly, without converting it to the One Click LCA import template. The AI import agent reads the file, converts it into an importable format, and takes users straight to the mapping stage.
To use it, drop the Excel file into the drag and drop box of an empty input query, or upload it from the file upload screen in the data import interface. Files that already follow the import template bypass the agent and import as before.
The maximum file size is 5 MB or 10,000 rows. Testing to date covers Latin-script languages. The agent should also handle other scripts, and users should check in the following import steps that the data processed correctly.
The AI import agent is a license add-on. Contact sales to add it.
The Material Popularity Index is now a filter in the new data input interface search overlay. Users can select materials by popularity within their region or globally.
The index combines viewing, adding, and using a material in reports into a weighted score of overall engagement and frequency of use. A high score shows that other professionals in the same region, or worldwide, already rely on the dataset, which reduces time spent weighing unfamiliar options.
Narrow results to the right market with regional filters in search and import
Filters in search and data import now include geographical regions alongside countries. Users can filter by World, Rest of World (RoW), Europe, EU, and APAC to match results to a project's market scope.
Replace every instance of a resource, including constituents, in one action with Replace all/similar
The Replace all/similar option now covers construction constituents as well as top-level resources, so one action replaces every instance across a design. The Clear all filters button is now active only when filters are applied during the replace resources flow.
Focus the main page on current work with collapsible folders and projects
Users can now collapse and expand the Folders and Projects sections on the main page to keep the content they need in view.
Early Design Updates
Anticipate seasonal and future conditions with typical day simulations in Sustainable Planner
Sustainable Planner now simulates a typical day for each season. Users can run the simulation in present and future climate conditions to see how a design performs across the year and as the climate changes.
Sun simulation also gains a clearer interface. Users can select a specific day for the simulation, and a new legend bar distinguishes sun from overcast shadow.
Base early CO2 estimates on actual window-to-wall ratios with generated facade windows
Sustainable Planner can now generate windows on facades, switch between facade types, and apply a custom facade pattern to each building. The resulting window-to-wall ratio feeds the CO2 estimate in place of default values, so early results reflect the actual design.
Building & Infrastructure LCA updates
Complete LCBI whole life carbon assessments in the new data input interface
The new data input interface is now available for Whole life carbon assessment in the LCBI tool. Users of the LCBI tool now work in the same interface as other building LCA tools.
Avoid outdated report options with the expired result report removed
The previous detailed One Click LCA result report expired in June 2026 and no longer appears under More actions, Reports. The Word report, Excel results report, and Data sources work as before.
Product LCA & EPD updates
Align EPDs with EPD Hub's latest requirements using new end-of-life, c-PCR, and scope options
Three updates requested by EPD Hub are now available:
A mandatory field, Place(s) of End-of-Life (city or region, and country), appears on the general information page of the EPD. It applies to EPD Hub tools and all pre-verified (E2E) tools.
EPD reports show a separate c-PCR row under the PCR row on the cover page, displaying "-" when no c-PCR is selected.
A new scope, Cradle to gate, B1 and modules C1-C4, D, is available in EPD Hub tools.
Report only the result tables the design standard requires
Result tables in reports and on the result page now follow the design's standard, such as EN 15804+A1/A2, ISO 21930, NF EN 15804+A2, or EN 50693. Tables that do not apply to that standard are hidden, so reports contain only the tables the standard requires. Generate the report again on existing designs to see the change.
Compare EPDs against the market with corrected values and an updated spidergraph
The EPD benchmarking view now shows corrected impact values and an updated spidergraph. Improvements also cover life cycle stage coverage, rank labeling, and layout.
Import and plugin updates
Enter numbers in a regional format with comma or point decimal separators
Numeric fields in the mapping interface now accept both comma and point as decimal separators, so users can enter values in their regional format without conversion.
Fix oversized import files faster with notifications that explain the limit
When an imported Excel file exceeds the row or column limits, a dedicated notification now explains the issue so users can adjust the file and retry.
Local updates
Japan: assess buildings with EN 15804+A2 EPDs in the updated Japanese Carbon tool
The new version of the Japanese Carbon tool is now available in beta. It accepts EPDs that follow the EN 15804+A2 amendment alongside all data available in the previous version, so users can draw on the current generation of EPDs without losing existing data.
For +A2 data points, the tool uses the GWP fossil indicator. If an EPD includes impact categories under both the +A1 and +A2 amendments, the tool prioritizes GWP according to +A1 over +A2 GWP fossil.
The tool remains in beta ahead of further revisions to the upcoming official Japanese carbon calculation methodology for construction.
Netherlands: upload NMD-ready exports and get corrected results
The score matrix export now matches the NMD format, so users can upload it to the NMD database directly. The shadow price no longer shows as 0, biogenic carbon content is now correct in results and reports, and the NMD background report and EPD now show corrected values. Recalculate existing designs to see the corrected results.
Database updates
Replace every ICE dataset with a free EN 15804+A2 equivalent in Generic Construction Data (GCD), UK edition
Generic Construction Data (GCD), UK edition, is a free database of 836 generic UK construction material datasets across eight product categories, from concrete and metals to insulation and wood products. It is One Click LCA's recommended replacement for the ICE datasets, deactivated on September 30, 2026, and includes an equivalent for every ICE dataset.
Every GCD dataset provides cradle-to-gate GWP based on EN 15804+A2. One Click LCA customers also receive a matching dataset with the full EN 15804+A2 impact set for use in the platform.
GCD datasets are already active in every One Click LCA account and work across life cycle assessment, life cycle costing, circularity, early design, and BIM import workflows. Users can find them by filtering for GCD or by searching for "Generic Construction Data." A downloadable version for use outside One Click LCA will follow in a later release.
Use UK EPDs from International Climate Intelligence System in assessments
One Click LCA now recognizes EPDs published by the UK program International Climate Intelligence System as valid and displays them with a UK flag.
Expand regional and generic dataset coverage with 8,000+ new additions
This release adds 3,655 EPDs and 4,393 industry generics. These additions improve regional accuracy and strengthen early-stage modeling where verified EPDs are limited.
