One Click LCA and SimaPro Developer Portal

One Click LCA Developer Portal and APIs

The One Click LCA Developer Portal is where you’ll find documentation for our APIs. Use the APIs to connect One Click LCA to your own systems, automate LCA and EPD workflows, and use our carbon data in your own tools and applications.

Who the APIs are for

The APIs are designed for organisations that work with LCA data at scale and want to connect it to their own systems. Typical users are:

  • Manufacturers who publish EPDs and product LCA data and want to keep them in sync with One Click LCA.

  • AEC companies running building and infrastructure LCAs at volume, connected to BIM, internal tools and portfolio reporting.

  • App developers building sustainability software, such as configurators, carbon platforms and procurement tools.

What the One Click LCA APIs offer

  • Calculation results: Get LCA results and project carbon data from your One Click LCA projects, for example to feed your own dashboards and reports.

  • Materials carbon data: Search our materials and EPD database, get carbon data and download EPD files.

  • EPD generation: Send product and bill of materials data and get EPD outputs back.

  • EPD reports: Turn LCA results and product information into a finished EPD report, ready for the programme operator.

What you’ll find in the Developer Portal

  • Documentation: Guides, API reference and authentication instructions for each API.

  • Playground: Try requests in your browser and see sample responses before you start building.

The documentation and Playground are available to customers with API access. Sign in to the portal to view them.

SimaPro cloud edition APIs

The Developer Portal also has documentation for the SimaPro cloud edition APIs. These APIs apply to SimaPro cloud edition only, not SimaPro desktop.

Getting API access and pricing

API access isn’t included in One Click LCA licences by default. To discuss access and pricing, contact our support team.
