Several improvements have been made to the new data input interface.
New in the data input interface:
Transportation resources display as data cards for quicker reference
Table settings, including column order and width, persist across projects, tools, sessions, and devices
Every column from a query's sub-queries appears in the parent query and can be edited there, without opening the sub-query
Grayed-out cells mark rows without sub-query-specific values
When two columns share a name, the column subheader shows the source query
A single Replace flow covers one resource, all similar resources, or a selected set of similar resources, using checkboxes
Changing LCA Parameters updates transport distance and method on default-value rows; edited rows keep existing values

See materials in a consistent order with aligned building part columns
In Building materials input pages, the Building part column now follows the side panel order exactly when applied as a Group or sorted in ascending order.
Sustainable Planner now runs thermal simulations for future scenarios through 2050, comparing present and projected event occurrence for the same site. Simulations start faster and run more stably. IFC import is available in beta.
Sustainable Planner can now generate windows on facades, switch facade type, and create custom facade patterns per building. The CO2 estimate uses the model's window-to-wall ratio instead of default values.
This feature ships in a separate minor release at the end of September.
Carbon Designer 3D gains improvements across search, design information, defaults, and stability:
Search: a GWP column in search results, a Distance filter, and a Subtype filter with pre-selection in resource search, with consistent search tabs across Carbon Designer 3D Search, Edit Construction, and View Template
Design information: the panel now shows final constraints, section dimensions for a selected shape, and the selected structural frame
Graphs: downloadable graphs now include a legend and design details
Scope and defaults: a new Construction site scope option; GIFA, GFA, and heated area saved to the Building area query; the default building type and reference building now follow the project's building type and country
Edit Construction: a data card icon for constructions and constituents; the constituent unit dropdown now loads correctly; resources no longer accept negative values
Fixes: the 3D model no longer blinks on the main page; the Favorite icon and Building materials dropdown work correctly in the Search overlay; column header menu and Scope step alignment corrected; missing queries in default generation for the Irish Carbon Tool added; organization name added to the Private template admin page

Draft EPD descriptions from project LCA data with AI-based EPD Documentation
AI-based EPD Documentation drafts the technical life cycle description and scenario documentation on the EPD Description page directly from the project's own LCA data, saving hours of compiling descriptions to Ecoplatform quality standard. Every field goes through review and editing before submission for verification: unreviewed AI text stays highlighted, and the tool flags missing source data automatically. Available in EPD Hub v3, in English.
Keep EPDs current with PCR 1.2.1 and GPI 1.3.1
EPD templates and background documents now align with PCR 1.2.1 and GPI 1.3.1. Updates include:
Automated population of date and flow diagram fields in the background report
Clarified allocation-method text within data collection approaches
A new RSL basis and validity data field in the Declared Unit section, directly after Product Reference Service Life, in both the UI and the Excel import form
New cPCR options for curtain walling and glass in EPD Hub v3
New help text for the Biogenic carbon content and REACH materials sections
A new module A5 scope option for EPDs where A5 is not fully declared, with a matching asterisk marker in the system boundary table
Find usable data first with the Accessible data only filter
A new Accessible data only filter appears in the New Query and New Import search overlays, checked by default. The filter hides data not yet in the Data list (that data remains available to add) while a user's own EPDs and private data stay visible. The Organisation data list section is now named Data access. Data list only works as before.
The per-query Excel export, labeled Download Excel in manufacturing tools, now works on EPD queries with the same functionality as the existing query export. Manufacturers can pull query data into Excel and re-import the file, matching the capability already available in AEC tools.
See EPD categories in a consistent order with aligned category columns
In the top-level query of EPD tools, the Category column now follows the order of the child queries in the left side panel (Product raw materials, Packaging materials, Ancillary materials, Separate transportation, and Transportation fuels) instead of alphabetical order. This order applies only when no other sort is set. A manual sort overrides the default, and clearing the sort returns to the side panel order.
ENVI-met updates
Run faster microclimate simulations with ENVI-met 6.0
ENVI-met 6.0 is now available, with faster microclimate simulations and a new Rapid Thermal Comfort analysis for quick outdoor comfort assessments. Concurrent licenses let teams share and rotate access within a license pool instead of reserving a dedicated seat per user. Student licenses carry usage limitations.
Local updates
The Word report for the LCA for Verde Edificios 2020/2022 tool is now available in Spanish. The report covers the impact categories common to both tool versions plus the categories specific to the 2022 version, and comes automatically with all expert-level licenses.
Database updates
Access 3,000+ new EPDs and generic datasets
This release adds 2,381 new EPDs, 665 new One Click LCA generic datasets, and 12 new industry generic datasets. These additions improve regional accuracy and strengthen early-stage modeling where verified EPDs are limited.
