Update Highlights
Deeper portfolio insights: Track GWP trends and benchmark performance across projects with the new AEC Analytics Pack.
Refined design workflows: Experience smoother modeling in Carbon Designer 3D with improved staircase logic, carbon visualization, and shape selection.
Streamlined Nordic reporting: Generate automated, localized reports for Norway (NS3720), Sweden (NollCO2/MB4), and Denmark (BR25).
Enhanced data input: The new data input interface is now the standard for Business and Designer licenses, featuring improved import logic and read-only modes.
Greater modelling precision: Model more accurately using 5,636 new verified EPDs and 811 new generics for construction and infrastructure.
Platform & software updates
Clearer visibility with read-only mode indicators
Users with read-only rights can move between pages, adjust column visibility, and view results, but cannot modify data. Designs enter read-only mode when a user has read-only project access, when the project uses a read-only tool, or when the licence is frozen.
User Managers can now invite new users directly to the company account even if they do not yet have a One Click LCA account, streamlining the onboarding process for large teams.
View original source data
A new view differentiates imported rows from manually added ones, allowing users to verify the original data behind every input.
Clicking on the paper icon will open the additional information
All original assumptions uploaded with the data will be visible
Smarter unit handling
The import logic now prioritizes first-match or saved mappings even if units are incompatible. A warning banner highlights affected resources in red, allowing users to quickly adjust quantities using a dropdown of supported units without losing the mapping.
Issues with incompatible units will be highlighted in red
Building & Infrastructure LCA updates
The Portfolio Analytics suite has been significantly upgraded to support high-level decision-making, benchmarking, and data validation.
Deep Strategic Insights: Visualize portfolio performance with timeline views (e.g., total GWP by GFA, project type, or year). In Advanced Mode, view side-by-side comparisons of GWP-Total across multiple tools (e.g., LEED vs. BREEAM) and drill down into lifecycle stages and building elements.
Comprehensive Benchmarking: Compare your project’s carbon performance against the internal Carbon Heroes Benchmark (by region and project type). Benchmark against external industry standards (such as CLF or YM) using limit values to see how your portfolio stacks up against the wider market.
AI-Powered Validation: Instantly gauge data quality with the Project Plausibility Grade, which provides an AI-assigned quality score to help you identify reliable data at a glance. (Note: Grades are generated automatically once project results are processed).
Target Setting & Reporting: Set company-wide targets (e.g., GWP per GFA per year) for specific cohorts like country or building type, and track projects against these goals. Export summary views as images for presentations and save custom column configurations for consistent reporting.
Better Project Management: Automatically assign new projects to the user’s organization or transfer ownership of existing projects to ensure proper data governance.
Visualizing Carbon in Early Design: The Carbon View is now enabled for both Generative Design and Free Drawing modes, allowing for immediate impact visualization during the modeling process.
Improved Calculation Logic: Staircase calculation logic has been refined for both Generative and Free Drawing modes, and floor/ceiling finish calculations have been improved for E-Shape buildings.
Smoother Design Experience:
GFA Input: Moved to Step 3 of Design Creation for a more logical workflow.
Shape Selection: All shape selection buttons are now always visible to better inform users of available capabilities.
Scenario Management: A "Regenerate" button has been added to Generative Design scenario selection, along with improved camera placement for different shapes.
Smarter Resource Search: The search function within Carbon Designer 3D now mirrors the full data availability of corresponding LCA tools, ensuring consistency with regional reference building settings.
Clearer Guidance: Read-only status is now clearly communicated in the interface, and help text has been added to explain CD3D LCA stages.
Carbon Designers latest addition, Free Drawing, allows shape generation based on drawn floor plans.
International: Significantly improved MEP accuracy with real-world components for electrification (cables, lighting), telecom, fire suppression, and HVAC (main air units, ducts, cooling pipes).
Japan: Added 11 new constructions, 2 new structural frame options, and expanded structural classifications for office, warehouse, and apartment types.
The new data input interface is now the default view for Business and Designer licenses (excluding Japan). This update brings improved navigation and consistency to the majority of users.
BREEAM Version 7 (UK and International) tools are now fully aligned with the new interface, ensuring consistent reporting and support for the latest standards.
Construction CO2 visibility: CO2 values are now displayed at the assembly/construction level, making it easier to spot high-impact areas.
Enhanced Data Cards: Product identifiers such as GTIN, NOBB, CAS, and EC are now visible in the Data Card within AEC tools, improving product verification.
The Plausibility Checker now supports a wider range of tools. For tools not aligned with One Click LCA GWP benchmarks, the checker utilizes mass-based benchmarks to flag potential outliers.
Product LCA & EPD updates
INIES-specific impact categories for Private Data
When creating private data points from an Organization account, users can now specify impacts for French-specific categories, ensuring better alignment with INIES requirements.
Local updates
Automated, localized reporting for Nordic certifications
Norway: NS3720 & TEK17 (Word + XLSX)
Native Language Support: Reports are now generated in Norwegian.
Comprehensive Data: Excel reports provide results per resource input and material classification.
Enhanced Word Reports: Includes extended scope explanations, full result graphics, and author/building pre-population.
